College Professor Research Services and Opportunities
The College Professor Research Services and Opportunities, or the CPRSO, is the world’s first network of its kind in enabling many students to gain unique research experiences and opportunities under the guidance of current and former college professors. Conducting undergraduate to graduate level research projects with the unrivalled teaching and support of the professors from top tier colleges is among the most distinct factors for maximizing the students’ chances of admission to the colleges of their first choice a proven approach practiced for decades.
Stand out for the college of your choice with truly unique research work guided by professors from top tier colleges and their students that hold your hand through the entire process.
Do students need to bring their own research topics?
Students are more than welcome to propose research topics of their own based on their own interests. However, to proceed as guided research, designated professors will help the students to elevate the quality of their research topics to higher standards. Professors may also suggest research topics to the students.
Which college professors will students conduct their research with through the CPRSO?
Students participate in guided research projects led by current and former professors from top tier colleges, or take jump start lessons or lectures designed towards pre-designed research projects or guided research projects. Each student is matched with key professors whose field of expertise and capacity is best aligned with the student’s interest, thereby ensuring the most productivity possible. Different arrangements could also be made depending on the demonstrated needs of each student. The full and complete information of professors is provided to the enrolled students only.
How long does the CPRSO run?
The length of each guided research project varies — a few weeks to 8 weeks to 12 months to 24 months or longer. Ultimately, the length will be decided by, among others, the nature or type of pre-designed research project or guided research project conducted by the professor and the student. All research projects and jump start lessons or lectures conducive for pre-designed research projects or guided research projects are run throughout the year.
Is a limit placed on the number of students who can participate in the CPRSO?
There is no limit. However, the availability of pre-designed research projects, guided research projects, and the jump start lessons or lectures designed towards pre-designed research projects or guided research projects may vary from time to time. Students are encouraged to check in for the availability of what they are most interested in pursuing through the CPRSO. Ask for your consultation today.
Are the students living in other countries also eligible to participate?
Yes. The CPRSO is open to everyone regardless of their location, race, religion, and background. However, restrictions may apply under certain circumstances. For example, if a student needs to be present in person for conducting a research project with a professor, arrangements will need to be made appropriately. Time difference is another example. Many students conduct research projects with their professors online, however. The jump start lessons or lectures designed towards pre-designed research projects or guided research projects are also offered online.
Which grade years are accepted for the CPRSO?
There are no grade year restrictions. Any student capable of participation may be accepted. Grade school students to junior high school students to high school students are all eligible depending on their capability to conduct research or participate in the jump start lessons or lectures designed towards pre-designed research projects or guided research projects.
Can school teachers get involved?
Certainly. They can email us and suggest what they might benefit from working with any of the professors available. They can ask for special rates for in-school projects or contest preparations. Active participation of school teachers in their students’ research opportunities can help enhance their students’ learning experience as scholars.
What can students benefit from the CPRSO by going through their school?
Among the best advantages is the time and cost efficiency. Students can ask their headmaster or other school officials to adopt and customize the CPRSO. Depending on their needs, they can also explore and adopt the FCCAP in conjunction with the CPRSO. Some schools run a few projects, while some run a dozen. Every school is different. Yet, the goal is to empower students to elevate the quality of their performance, and maximize their chances of admission to the college of their choice. As their school is involved in every step of the process implemented for the CPRSO, the students learn and acquire the skills to create, participate, and manage projects of pre-college to undergraduate to graduate levels across diverse fields of interest.
When do students receive the information on the current and former professors from top tier colleges?
Students are provided with the information on the professors during the consultation process. However, the information on the professors ultimately decided and assigned may be provided during the enrollment process or thereafter. Also, the information on the professors is not disclosed on the website in order to protect them against any misuse of their information or being flooded with calls or emails.
